Greys Fine Cheeses is the only specialty retail cheese shop in Nashville with a second location in Franklin at The Factory. We know cheese! We are family-owned offering the finest artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, accoutrements and wine to our turophiles (cheese lovers). We are hiring COOK / CHEESEBOARD ARTIST! We have two part-time kitchen opportunities at each store. We are a small team, looking for someone who is comfortable working in a small team with a willingness to learn and be a team player. Someone who enjoys working for a local business. We have a small menu focusing on cheese and charcuterie plates, fondue, raclette and a few sandwiches and salads. About the Job Assemble, prepare, and fill food orders according to recipe. Assists in preparing cheese and charcuterie food items, dips and spreads. Understand and follow all policies for the back of house Assists in washing dishes and kitchen equipment ensuring proper sanitation. Close kitchen nightly ensuring a sanitary work environment. Other duties as assigned. About You Have a passion for cheese with a desire to continue to learn (no prior cheese experience required) Previous kitchen experience is required Experience operating a slicer, preferred Food safe certified a plus Follow health and safety guidelines Perks & Benefits Compensation: Base pay (hourly rate) PLUS TIPS Total salary for this position – BASE plus TIPS $17-$20 per hour (total compensation) NASHVILLE - Shift - PT - (Wed-Sat) 4:30 – 8:30 pm FRANKLIN - Shift - PT - (Wed-Sat) 4:30 – 8:30 pm & Sun 10 am – 2 pm Closed major holidays // no late nights 30% Employee discount Paid time off / vacation & sick days Medical Insurance (Greys covers portion of the premium) On-going training and online training Comprehensive in-house barista training program Greys is a ACS (American Cheese Society) Member We are a growing company full-time employees only
